New OIG exclusions by month

Every figure comes from the List of Excluded Individuals/Entities (LEIE) file that OIG publishes, counted by the exclusion date OIG records for each row. The most recent month shown is the month before the file was retrieved, because OIG publishes a month’s exclusions in the following month’s update.

The LEIE lists only exclusions in effect today. When OIG reinstates someone, their row leaves the file, so earlier months can go down slightly over time, and a later update can add a row with an earlier exclusion date. Each edition reflects the file it was built from.

State is the address state OIG lists for the row, which is not necessarily where the conduct happened. Profession is OIG’s own specialty field, shown as published. Each row counts once; OIG lists some businesses once per location.
