SAM.gov exclusion
A SAM.gov exclusion is a record in the federal System for Award Management showing that a person or organization may not receive federal contracts, grants or other federal assistance. The General Services Administration runs SAM.gov.
What to know
- Agencies across the federal government post these records under the government-wide debarment and suspension rules, not only health agencies.
- It complements the LEIE rather than duplicating it: someone can appear on one and not the other.
- State Medicaid agencies must check it for their providers, and many health care organizations check it alongside the LEIE.
