OIG Self-Disclosure Protocol
The Self-Disclosure Protocol is OIG’s process for health care organizations to report potential fraud they have found in their own operations, including working with a person on the LEIE, and resolve it.
What to know
- Disclosing parties typically pay a lower multiplier on damages than in a government-initiated case.
- OIG publishes the protocol and the information a disclosure must include, such as how long the person was engaged and what was billed.
